Bookcase Builder Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

The Bookcase Builder stamp set is a great set for anyone who likes to get a lot of variety in cards from one set.  Just look at all of the variety in this set - 27 stamps!

Bookcase Builder Photopolymer Stamp Set

Today, I used the set to make a card suitable to go with a baby shower gift.

This is also a great card if you are in a hurry to get it done!  I have to admit, it's not unusual for me to take up to three hours to make a card, but this one came together in under an hour.  I knew what I wanted to do when I started so it was just a matter of cutting paper and doing a little bit of stamping (my favourite part)!

The paper I used for the background is the Cupcakes and Carousels DSP which is retiring on May 31, 2017.  The good news is that it is still available and is 40% off.  If you'd like to own it, don't waste any time, click on the link below and order it today.

The first two people who place a $50+ order with me today, May 15, 2017 until midnight, will receive a half stack (24 sheets) of the Cupcakes and Carousels DSP free from me.  Just comment on this post to alert me that you've made the purchase.

Reminder:  Clicking on the products below will take you directly to my store.

Crafting Forever Stamp Set by Stampin' Up!

This is the first card I've created using this brand new stamp set which will not be available for purchase until June1, 2017, but I wanted you to get to see it now!

I've used all five of the new 2017-2019 In Colours.  From the top of the background, they are Fresh Fig, Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil tide.  The scissors are in the fifth colour which is Powder Pink.

I had so much fun making this card.  The sentiment comes from the Crafting Forever stamp set and it's stamped on a label punched from the new punch called Pretty Label.  There is also a stamp set that coordinates with the label punch called Label Me Pretty.  I'm already in love with it!

Stay tuned because I'll be sneak peaking more cards from supplies from the new catalogue!

Three Stampin' Up! Stamp Sets Not Retiring!

Once again, I've been in my "paper room" playing.  I seem to be a bit fixated on the Awesomely Artistic stamp set.  I allows so much creativity that I find it hard to resist.  Here is the card I made today:

I started with a technique that created the watercolour looking background.  All that I did was colour on a plastic bag with my Stampin' Write Markers.  Then I spritzed it using the Stampin' Spritzer.  This helps to spread and bead up the colours.  Lastly, I laid my piece of Whisper White card stock over the bag and smoothed over it with my fingers, holding it in place for about 10 seconds.  When I lifted it, I had my desired watercolour background, which I stamped over once it dried. (Yes, I was impatient and used my heat gun!)

I coloured the flowers with my Stampin' Write Markers and when I was satisfied, moved on the create the dragonfly.  It was fun and relaxing to work on this card and I'm happy with my results.

Mothers' Day Card

Yesterday and for the next few days, I'm focusing on creating Mothers' Day cards.  What could say "I Love You" better than a handmade card?

This card is one of three I created using Stampin' Up!'s Water Colour Wings stamp set and coordinating Bold Butterfly Framelits.  I love the versatility of this stamp set and also the fact that there is NO fussy cutting necessary when I use the framelits. The set has three separate stamps to achieve the colouring on the butterfly.  Playing with different colour combinations is half of the fun and allows you to make it yours. And what fun I had colouring in the flowers with the chalk pen!

Please note that the last four items in the supply list below are retiring May 31/17 so if you want to add them to your collection, it needs to happen by the end of the month.

Easy Peasy Card With Stampin' Up! Supplies

I was inspired to make this card by an online demo by "North Shore Stamper".  Thank you Angela!

This card is perfect for you if you are relatively new to the fun hobby of making cards!  It's also perfect for you if you enjoy a little bit of colouring between the lines.

Using either my colours or chose your own and go ahead and...

1. stamp the flower stamp from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set
2. stamp the sentiment from watercolour wings
3. colour in the flowers using the White Stampin Chalk Marker
4. stamp the bitty butterfly on white card stock and punch out with Bitty Butterfly Punch
5. assemble card with two one background
6. add the butterfly with a glue dot
7. add the rhinestones

And you are done!  You can go ahead and use the colours I chose or make it yours by using your own favourite colours.  The card will lend itself to many different colour combinations.

Here is the list of supplies I used.  Click on anything you need for the project and you will be taken to my online store!
