Sneak Peek of Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest
Today, I was doing one of my favourite things...playing with paper and stamps and ink in what I call my 'paper room'. I wanted to try out a stamp set I hadn't yet...Painted Harvest. This set is in the new 2017 Holiday catalogue which you'll be able to order from starting September first. So this is a bit of a heads up about a gorgeous stamp set and my way to work with it. Enjoy!

Fun With Stampin' Up! Re-Inkers
I'd posted to Instagram a few cards I recently made using a fun "watercolorish" background. I was asked to do a video on the technique, so here it is. Enjoy and please leave me a comment!

Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue Sneak Peek
If you are like me and prefer to create your own Christmas cards, you are going to love the Christmas stamp sets in the holiday catalogue which will be available to you on September 1/17. I will add in the links to order these sets in time for September first. Watch for it!
Here is a peek at two cards I've made using new stamp sets:

All of the stamps used on this card come from the "Every Good Wish" stamp set. I love the watercolour look of it and trust me...it's so quick and easy to create a beautiful card like this!
This card is a little more complex and I used three different sets to get this result. The border is from the "Carols of Christmas Bundle". The sentiment stamp comes from "Every Good Wish" set like the one shown above. And the church and house are from the "Hearts Come Home Bundle". You are going to love the versatility of these sets!

Magical Mermaid by Stampin' Up!
I am so excited to share these cards with you today! They were so much fun to make!
I knew I was going to want to make more than one card, so first I stamped 6 mermaids on white card stock using Basic Grey ink. This gives a softer look than the black ink. The mermaids were coloured using pens from Many Marvellous Markers.
If you don't already own this set, seriously consider buying it. You can do so much with it, including inking up stamps by colouring on them. I use mine every time I sit down to create.
When the Mermaids were done, I worked on the backgrounds. Every stamp you need to make them is included in the Magical Mermaid stamp set. For the seashells and sand at the bottom of the "ocean", I cut a strip of paper in Very Vanilla and stamped multiple times down it. Then I roughly tore strips to use on each card. I love the look of the raw edge.
Even the bubbles are part of the stamp set. Once I was done stamping on the piece of Pool Party card stock, I ran it through my Big Shot using the Seaside Textured Embossing Folder to add even more to the "ocean" feel.
The Enamel Glitter Dots finish the card up. Here is a second card I made so you could see how easy it is to change it up once you have your card designed.
